Mariposa County Teachers' Association Meeting
The meeting was called to order by President Anne Dolchanczyk this 20th day of January at 5:08pm.
October minutes read by Debra Vittore. Minutes clarified by Anne. No testing for 2nd graders begins next year. Minutes amended and accepted.
Treasurer's report read by Sandy Wice.
Discussion on negotiations - although negotiations have not started yet.
Motion to give a $125 donation to the Storytelling Festival was made by Sandy and seconded by Diana. Motion passed with all ayes.
Lengthy discussion led by Georgia Gallager on the CLAD requirement.
Motion made by Walt to draft a letter stating that we are willing to comply with certain conditions being met by the district. Motion seconded by Marlene. Walt and Marlene will draft the letter. Motion passed with all ayes.
Anne reports on Rural Issues Conference held in January. Handouts on talking points and Executive Director's Report shared.
Anne and Marlene report on meeting with Patrick about universal dismissal time. No results yet.
Lengthy discussion on the new observation process by principals using palm pilots.
Motion made by Linda to grieve palm pilot observations. Seconded by Walt.
Linda thanks CTA for getting her days so that she could care for her son.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 5:25pm.
